I’m Jeremiah, 43 years old and Dar es Salaam resident. I have been teaching since 2001. I have taught chemistry and biology at Shaaban Robert Secondary school, a large school in the center of Dar. Since 2006 I have also started educating foreigners in Swahili. This is a great experience as it involves one, two or three students, rather than a class of thirty.
As a teacher, I offer my students a broad range of study materials, personal attention and a lot of patience. My fees are reasonable, my schedule is flexible and most importantly, I feel personally responsible for providing you with a great experience in learning Swahili. I take pride and joy in advancing my students’ language capabilities and I look forward to studying with you!

How we started
This site is ran by Jeremiah and Peter. From September 2007 – March 2008 Peter lived in Dar es Salaam. Throughout this time Jeremiah came by his small house 2 to 3 times a week to teach Kiswahili for two hours. Over this period we have become friends and we stayed in touch after Peter moved back to Europe.

We set up this website so other tourists or residents in Dar es Salaam can enjoy his lessons.
